RADHIKA - iPhD Student
Radhika completed her B.Sc. in Chemistry with a minor in Vocational Biotechnology from Fergusson college, Pune. She has joined the lab as an integrated PhD student and works on understanding the role of heterogeneity in Golgi organisation in Cancers. She is also a Bharatanatyam dancer and enjoys dabbling in fine arts.
ADISHAKTI - PhD Student
I did my Int-MSc from NISER Bhubaneswar. I am fascinated by the intricate world of cell biology and its secrets. In the lab, I am interested in understanding mechanosensing in mitochondria and its role in cell adhesion and cancer progression. Apart from these scientific interests, I enjoy birding, nature walks, cooking, crafting, and the little things in life. I am also a movie buff and enjoy binge-watching a good TV series.
VAISHNAVI - PhD Student
I hold a master’s in biotechnology from Pune University. My research focuses on understanding the intricacies of the Golgi organization and its associated regulators in Breast cancer cells, focusing on its crosstalk with autophagy. Beyond my academic pursuits, I enjoy traveling, dancing, and the art of scientific illustrations.
ADITI - PhD Student
With a Master’s degree in Biomedical Genetics from VIT, Vellore. My research interests center on elucidating the roles of membrane trafficking and cell adhesion in cancer progression, with a particular focus on Ras-dependent and Ras-independent tumorigenic pathways. In additionI enjoy engaging with science communication, as well as reading, traveling, and watching movies.
SUBHAYAN - PhD Student
With a MSc. in Molecular and Human Genetics at BHU, I developed a strong interest in cell biology. My specific research interest lies in investigating how motor proteins (tiny cellular transporters), contribute to the organization of the Golgi apparatus in various types of cancer tissues. Beyond the lab, I enjoy watching cricket, exploring movies, and playing games.
NIDHI - PhD Student
I completed my Master’s in Zoology with a specialization in Cell Biology from the University of Allahabad, Prayagraj. My research focuses on how mechanical signaling influences Golgi architecture and how these changes regulate trafficking and cellular behaviour. Beyond research, I enjoy sketching, reading, watching movies and listening to music.
AMIT - PhD Student
I have done my Master's in Biotechnology at Gujarat Biotechnology University. I am interested in understanding how cells respond to changing mechanical cues from the extracellular matrix in cancers. Outside the lab, I enjoy playing table tennis and badminton.
ARYA - PhD Student
I have completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Microbiology from K.T.H.M. College, Nashik. My primary interest is understanding fundamental molecular and cellular processes, with a particular focus on mechanobiology in cancer progression. Beyond science, I enjoy taking little walks, listening to music, and binge-watching my comfort shows.
AKSA - NPTEL Fellow
I completed my Master's in Biotechnology from Central University of Tamil Nadu. My research interests are cell biology and cancer biology. My work focuses on understanding the role of Golgi-associated AXL. Outside the lab, I enjoy crafting and painting.
MEGHNA - NPTEL Fellow
I completed my B.Tech. in Biotechnology from D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai. My research interests lie in cancer biology and understanding the role the microenvironment plays. My work tests how matrix mechanosensing regulates mitochondrial organisation in cancer cells. Beyond research, I enjoy painting, listening to music, and watching movies. I also value spending time with my family.
Aahana - UG Student
I'm a BS-MS student at IISER Mohali. My project investigates how cell adhesion and RalGEFs regulate RalA and RalB activation in wild-type mouse embryonic fibroblasts (WT-MEFs). Outside the lab, I paint, watch movies, and spend time with my cat, Cleo.
ANSHIKA - UG student
I am Anshika, a BS-MS dual degree student at IISER Pune with a strong interest in cancer research. In the adhesion lab, I am exploring how AXL regulates focal adhesion dynamics and its interplay with Golgi organization in cells. Beyond science, I enjoy dancing.
Archit - UG Student
I am a BS-MS student at IISER Mohali, studying Golgi-autophagy crosstalk in breast cancer cells and whether matrix stiffness shapes that conversation. Outside the lab, you'll find me out on a trail or waiting for a bird that may or may not show up —and somewhere in between, coming to terms with the fact that Dwight Schrute was right about most things.
Vishakha - UG Student
Currently pursuing a BS-MS dual degree at IISER Pune. I am working on a project evaluating the differences in Mitochondrial organisation and function in breast cancer cells on 2D matrix of varying stiffness. Im also interested in adventurous travelling and living new experiences.
