I completed my Masters in Molecular biology and biotechnology from Tezpur University. I am passionate about science outreach and communication. My interest in the lab is on understanding the role of motor proteins and their regulation of Golgi organisation. Apart from the fore mentioned interests, painting, gardening and cooking bring me joy.
ADISHAKTI - PhD Student
I did my Int-MSc from NISER Bhubaneswar. I am fascinated by the intricate world of cell biology and its secrets. In the lab, I am interested in understanding mechanosensing in mitochondria and its role in cell adhesion and cancer progression. Apart from these scientific interests, I enjoy birding, nature walks, cooking, crafting, and the little things in life. I am also a movie buff and enjoy binge-watching a good TV series.
VAISHNAVI - PhD Student
I hold a master’s in biotechnology from Pune University. My research focuses on understanding the intricacies of the Golgi organization and its associated regulators in Breast cancer cells, focusing on its crosstalk with autophagy. Beyond my academic pursuits, I enjoy traveling, dancing, and the art of scientific illustrations.
ADITI - PhD Student
With a Master’s degree in Biomedical Genetics from VIT, Vellore. My research interests center on elucidating the roles of membrane trafficking and cell adhesion in cancer progression, with a particular focus on Ras-dependent and Ras-independent tumorigenic pathways. In additionI enjoy engaging with science communication, as well as reading, traveling, and watching movies.
SUBHAYAN - PhD Student
With a MSc. in Molecular and Human Genetics at BHU, I developed a strong interest in cell biology. My specific research interest lies in investigating how motor proteins (tiny cellular transporters), contribute to the organization of the Golgi apparatus in various types of cancer tissues. Beyond the lab, I enjoy watching cricket, exploring movies, and playing games.
Karan - MS Thesis Student
With a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Mumbai University, I pursued my MS thesis in the Cell Adhesion Lab. My work focused on understanding Golgi-autophagy crosstalk in breast cancer cells under varying matrix stiffness. Outside of research, I enjoy filmmaking, graphic design, and swimming.
TUSHAR - Lab Manager (JRF)
I am BS-MS student at IISER Pune. My research interest lies in mechanobiology cum physical biology. In the lab, my interest and, hence, my research project tries to understand the role of mechanical cues in the regulation of cell organelles. Besides this, I enjoy graphic design, drawing, and playing cricket. Tushar was a Masters Thesis student in the lab before joining us as a Tech.

Manomay - UG Student
I am currently pursuing BS-MS dual degree from IISER Pune. My project focusses on understanding the regulation of focal adhesions dynamics by AXL, across matrix stiffnesses, and the cross talk of this interaction with Golgi organization. Alongside science, I enjoy reading books and watching cricket.

Niranjani - UG Student
I am a BS-MS student at IISER Pune. I am interested in Bio-engineering and its related areas. In the Adhesion lab, I am working on understanding adhesion-dependent changes in mitochondria organanisation and function in response to mechanical stimuli. In addition to my interest in research, I also enjoy playing the Violin

ANSHIKA - UG student
I am Anshika, a BS-MS dual degree student at IISER Pune with a strong interest in cancer research. In the adhesion lab, I am exploring how AXL regulates focal adhesion dynamics and its interplay with Golgi organization in cells. Beyond science, I enjoy dancing.
